What is the process for applying?
Our application process is simple. Come for a tour. During your visit we will give you an application. Complete the application and return it to us. That is it!
Is there an application fee?
No. Applying is free. When we have a place for your child and you enroll, we will ask for a security deposit and the first month’s tuition.
When should we apply?
We enroll children all year round which means you can apply at any time. Enrollment is on a first come first served basis, and is based on availability. We recommend applying as far in advance of your desired start date as possible. September is the month with the biggest new enrollments but also the greatest demand.
How are admissions decisions made?
We enroll on a first come first served basis based on availability. We do not select children based on any specific criteria.
When will I find out if my child has a spot at River School?
We usually know if we have an opening for your child 1-2 months in advance of the start date. We will call you as soon as we know. For this reason, please be sure to keep us up to date if your contact information changes after you apply. Occasionally, we will contact families to offer a place that is not exactly what they were looking for, such as: a slightly different start date or schedule. If you accept one of these places you will have priority to get your preferred schedule as it becomes available. If you are unable to accept we will put your child right back on the list until we have what you need.
Once my child is at River School do we have to worry about a place for the following year?
No. Once a child is accepted at River School you have a place for your child to attend River School until you leave us for Kindergarten.
What about siblings?
When you have one child enrolled at River School you have priority for admissions for all siblings.
What can I do to improve my child’s chances for admission to River School?
River School admits children on a first come first served basis. The only way to improve your chances for admissions is to apply as early as possible.
